It is here where we find hope in God who is love and finds ways to love humanity through our deepest inadequacies. When we are asked to love one another.. it is not to only love them when they are good (which is not hard because if you only do this it is all but almost the cheapest for of love and maybe superficial) but to love them more when individuals “baggage” presents itself. It is there where we expose the darkness rather than criticize the individual being truly human and making the darkness “darker”. To love someone when they least deserve it is the way God loves me. I do not deserve love but rather death and it is in Christ who exposed my darkness and loved me that I found hope to run from that darkness. Though I still fail it is him that I find grace. Not cheap but costly grace. I long to love like this Swedish proverb as it embodies the entirety of the gospel message. To love God, To love people. When someone offers the love of Christ, I see him present now. May God help me grow more into this love.
